How does CatchAFace face search work?
CatchAFace runs facial recognition search on the public web. Upload one photo and we compare it against publicly available images from social platforms, news, and other open sources, then return ranked similarity matches with sources you can review. We don't crawl private accounts.
What happens to the photo I upload?
We use it to run the search and then delete it. We never add it to a public index, store it long-term, or sell it.
Is this legal to use?
CatchAFace is a private face finder for dating safety and identity verification. It searches publicly available information. You are responsible for using results lawfully. It is not a consumer reporting tool under the FCRA.
Can I request removal of my information?
CatchAFace is a search engine, not a people database. We don't host a browsable index of faces you can opt out of by contacting us. Results come from third-party providers and the public web, each with their own opt-out process. Use our Opt-Out Guides to follow those official steps.
